Peugeot 308 Right Rear Door

Almost always a broken internal linkage rod between the interior handle and the latch, a very common Peugeot fault. We pull the door panel, refit or replace the rod, and check the handle mount. Sometimes the latch itself has failed and needs swapping.

On manual systems, open the door and turn the small rotary switch on the door edge using the ignition key. On electric child-lock models like the 307 and 407, use the button on the driver's door console — if that fails, it's usually a latch or relay fault.
